Inside his office are multitudes of shiny and whizzing objects that constantly distract the eye. In the center of it all is the Headmaster's mahogany desk, where you are most likely to find the Headmaster himself at nearly any time of the day.

Upon entering, the room is neat, well-kept and not overly sentimental. A scarlet tin of biscuits is kept on the desk to make the office seem a little more homey.

A maple wood desk, similar to the one that resides in the Charms classroom resides in the center of the room with a Mission Style chair behind it. Look beyond the back of the chair and notice a small bistro table and chair overlooking the grounds from the largest of the Office's windows. Most of the space that is left over, is filled with book cases containing books on many a spell. Professor Hanel can usually be found here between classes grading papers or reading.

The desk is made of elder wood on the desk top and Holly, Willow, Sequia and Yew on the legs. His chair is made of apple wood. His surroundings consist of various books about the dark arts and defenses both in theory and known uses and practices from other sources. You'll usually find Professor Hicks there grading papers, helping students and others, reading or researching. His office opens freely to anyone who needs to see him.

Most students bypass this class for more exciting ones; although students who wish to pursue a career in any subject involving ancient languages would find this a beneficial class to take.

In the back is a large pumpkin patch, as well as some pens for his latest creature fancy.

Once inside, there are four long tables for each of the houses. At the head of it all is the Staff Table, with a spot for each of the teachers. The Hall is used as a meeting place for students during meals and a room for special events.
